Our Cub Pack…

Cubs is open to all children from the ages of 8 to 10½. Cubs meet in groups called Packs, with each Pack separated into Sixes. Cubs offers a variety of activities including games, crafts, and exploring. Cub Scouts also get to go on trips and days out, to places like the zoo, theme parks and of course camping.
1st Stanmore Cubs meet on Wednesdays between 6.30pm and 8.00pm.

During the Cub pack evenings we run a fun and exciting programme. Here are some of the activities we have run during our programmes – Fire Station Visits, Backwoods Cooking, Pioneering, Cub Scout Activity Badges and Games. We also attend District Events such as the swimming gala and 5-aside football tournament.

This Cubs page on the Scout Association site contains lots more information about what Cubs do. If you still have questions contact us and we will do our best to answer your questions.

Cub Promise & Law

Since the publication of Scouting for Boys in 1908, all Scouts around the world have taken a promise to live up to ideals of the movement, and subscribed to a Scout Law. The Cub Scout promise is very similar to the Scout promise, however a few words have been simplified:

The Cub Scout Promise

I promise that I will do my best
To do my duty to God and to the Queen
To help other people
And to keep the Cub Scout Law

The Cub Scout Law

Cub Scouts always do their best
Think of others before themselves
And do a good turn every day

We are also always looking for adult volunteers. Would you like to be part of something amazing?

Part of Scouting’s mission statement is…

To help young people achieve their full, physical, intellectual, social and spiritual potential as individuals, as respected members of their local, national and international communities.

Roles range from committee members to parent helpers and uniformed leaders, it doesn’t matter how much you do, every little helps!
