Our Beaver Colony…

Beavers is the youngest section of the Scout movement and is open to all children from the ages of 6 to 8. Beavers meet in groups called Colonies, with each Colony separated into Lodges.
1st Stanmore Beaver colony meets on Fridays from 6pm to 7.15pm

Easily recognised by their distinctive turquoise sweatshirts. Beaver Scouts enjoy making friends, outdoor activities, playing games, arts and crafts. There is a selection of badges that children can work towards to celebrate personal achievement including the Chief Scout Bronze Award. But it is mainly about having fun!

As a Beaver, your child will have the opportunity to spend nights away at camps and sleepovers. This gives a real sense of adventure and maybe the first time away from home.

There is a termly subs fee for attending section nights. This covers costs like activities, building use, insurance and more.

Scouting is all about #SkillsForLife. We prepare them for life with skills such as teamwork, problem-solving, communication and responsibility.
