The group will be offering all its members above the age of 10 the opportunity to attend the Haarlem Jamborette in the Netherlands next summer.
The Jamborette is held every 4 years inviting Scouts from all over the globe. This time in its 14th edition it will take place in the national reserve of Spaarnwoude near to the town of Halfweg set in the beautiful surroundings of Haarlem. The Jamborette is expected to see over 3000 young people engage in the experience of a lifetime with the opportunity to make new international friends. The hugely active program runs across 10 days with each day having a different theme. Activities are not just confined to the site but will be held all over the local towns and regions in the Netherlands.
The camp will run from the 5-16 August 2023 but we will need to travel on the days before and after to the Jamborette, so block out 4-17 August in your calendars!
This epic international camp has been a real highlight for members of the 1st Stanmore teams scouting lives and in turn they have afforded the opportunity to over 300 young people from the UK and BSO to attend previously. Now it is the turn of the best group in the country (1st Stanmore of course!) to attend this extravaganza of international scouting. As 1st Stanmore we are looking to take 30 young people on this trip, please respond to the invitation sent via OSM that includes details of the costs and payment schedule.
