Cubs Hike in Stanmore Country Park

On a glorious summer evening the Cubs went on a hike around the nearby Stanmore Country Park. We were fortunate enough to be guided on the hike by a couple of the volunteer wardens from the Harrow Nature Conservation Forum. The wardens shared lots of interesting details about the flora, fauna and history of the park. Did you know the park contains the largest native species of ant in the UK, or that parts of the park were built by French Prisoners of War from the Napoleonic War, or going back in time even further parts of the park date from the Roman era (0-100 CE)?
